Greetings!
Spring is here, so grab your hoop and go outside. Take a
few moments for yourself with your hoop and enjoy. Get into a steady
rhythm with your breath as you push forward. Move from your center and
shift your weight. Hooping with BodyHoops will energize and uplift
while providing a low impact aerobic workout that is fun and
effective. Even just 10 minutes a day will make a difference!
We've been busy preparing for the upcoming festivals and
traveling a bit. The months ahead will be busy with loads of fun
hooping events. Come out and join us for some of them. Hope to hoop

BodyHoops Teacher Training
I recently returned from the
UK, facilitating our second annual UK BodyHoops Conference. This was a
very inspiring 3 day experience. Participants from both near and far,
came with an eagar and enthusiastic interest to learn and teach hooping
for dance, exercise and play. Special thanks to John of Hoopguy, Marion
of My Hooping Store and Diana of HoopsWhirled for all their help in
organizing and helping to make this trip smooth and comfortable.
I really enjoy sharing my working knowledge
with others
and so the program continues to expand with more fun
exercises and
techniques to deepen one's practice and for being a
successful and effective hoop
instructor. Our next conference is scheduled to happen
April 18-20, in
Ojai, California. This is a hooping intensive as well as an
opportunity to become a Bodyhoops Certified Instructor. As
hooping
continues to grow in popularity, we will need more
professional
instructors to provide quality classes and share the joy
that hooping
has to offer. We have 2 more spaces available for this
upcoming

Hooping on YouTube
I've been enjoying some regular practice with double hoops,
lately. I find that its continuing to develop my coordination and
challenge my endurance. Check out my latest double hoops video and then

Hooping Tip of the Season
Posture! Be aware of your posture in and out of the hoop.
Hooping will help to remind you of this. There's no need to flail your
body around. Remember to slightly tuck the pelvic in and reach high
with the top of your head. Shoulders are down and relaxed. Aim for
moving with efficiency as you push from your center. The angle of your
hoop as it circles your waistline, will also help to indicate how even
your push is which relates to your posture and the amount of pressure
you apply in pushing forward and back.

Bodyhoops Summer Day Camp for Kids!!
We will be launching our Bodyhoops Day Camp for Kids, this summer.
We will have lots of fun learning how to dance and move with bodyhoops.
Kids will also love all the fun games and tricks they will learn that
will help to develop balance, coordination and strength.
Offered for 2 weeks only this summer in Ojai and Ventura, CA
$85/child
includes registration for one of the week long camp dates listed below.

Costa Rica Hoop Retreat Coming Soon!
Finally, I just wanted to let you in on an upcoming Costa
Rica Hoop Retreat that is in the planning stages now. Scheduled to
happen December 1-5 of this year. This will be an amazing opportunity
to visit this beautiful country and get in a few good hooping sessions
with me. We will be staying at a very gorgeous and spacious villa
overlooking the jungle and ocean. More details coming soon. Sounds
