Diana Lopez
Diana
has been a professional hooper for the past eight years and created
BodyHoops in 2002. She has designed and implemented inspiring hoop
programs for youth and adults, for fitness and fun, and has been
traveling the world sharing the art of hoop dance. Formerly an
elementary and Jr. High School teacher for ten years, she discovered and
integrated hooping into the curriculum, and observed amazing results,
which inspired her to take the hoopla out into the world. Bodyhoops
manufactures beautiful custom hoops, has produced one of the first ever
hoop dance instructional DVDs and has specially designed hoop programs
for youth and adults. Diana’s style of teaching is focused, energetic
and fun. Integrating and emphasizing the centering aspects and benefits
as well as the tricks and moves she developed the BodyHoops Fitness
Program in 2006 which has been recognized received a national
accreditation seal of approval from the American Council on Fitness
Education in 2007. She is also a certified Group Fitness
Instructor through AFAA the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and ACE (American Council on Exercise) and the BodyHoops Fitness Program is approved for fitness professionals to receive continuing education units from ACE and AFAA.
